Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) has served as the Industry Guardian for the cleaning, inspection and restoration service industries for more than 30 years. As a non-profit certification organization, the IICRC helps ensure that you have access to trusted and trained cleaning professionals by establishing and monitoring certification programs and standards for these industries.
To qualify for IICRC-Certified Firm status businesses must demonstrate proof of insurance, maintain a written customer complaint policy with documented follow-up and provide ongoing education and training leading to certification for all technicians. IICRC Certified Firms are also required to abide by the IICRC Code of Ethics.
The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI)
The Carpet and Rug Institute recommends the use of Seal of Approval Products and is proud to recognize those Service Providers that utilize Seal of Approval Products.
Those in the cleaning industry who use both a Seal of Approval certified cleaning solution in conjunction with Seal of Approval certified cleaning equipment are eligible to be recognized by the Carpet and Rug Institute as SOA certified Service Providers.
CRI recommends to the consumer getting their carpet professionally cleaned to utilize the services of those recognized SOA Service Providers as the best way to guarantee your carpet is being serviced with only the best cleaning equipment. It is also the best way to make sure many of your residential warranties covering your carpet are being met as many of carpet manufacturers are now tying their warranties to the use of SOA products.
